Suzette Morganelli

A lifelong connection to the water

Suzette grew up around Lake Murray and began her photography career in 2000. She found peace in capturing tranquil compositions and learned to treat the rich colors of twilight as a painter’s palette.

Her first open edition giclée print, Summer Hues , was photographed in July 2003 near Shull Island in Gilbert, South Carolina, during the historic Lake Murray drawdown. The exposed islands made the scene especially distinctive.

That print helped introduce a broader portfolio of Lake Murray sunsets, coastal scenes, historic landmarks, wildlife and florals. Suzette’s work has been used in advertising, marketing and publications throughout the South.

A message from the artist

“As a photographer, you only have one chance to capture that breathtaking moment and make it come alive again for the public.”
